My Approach
My aim as a mental health counselor is to create an empathetic and curiosity-driven environment for clients to pursue and explore growth, well-being, and authenticity. The foundations of my practice are rooted in being queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that works towards clients’ goals by examining emotions, unconscious beliefs, the mind-body connection, and relational patterns.

What To Expect
In the therapy room, I might name things like gender roles, heteronormativity, or ableism, and explore how these larger systemic structures might have affected you. I also integrate mind-body approaches through breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and checking in with your body during sessions. This often means talking about what activates and regulates the nervous system. My curiosity tends to go towards clients’ inner parts, so I might ask questions that lead us to explore different parts of you and explore what feelings are coming up from different parts and why? This can sometimes lead back to childhood or previous relationships in your life.
More About Me
I identify as queer and neurodivergent, and I go by she/her & they/them. I received my Masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU. I have also worked as a Special Education Teacher and received my Masters degree in Secondary Special Education from Long Island University. Certifications: Advanced Certificate in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services; Certificate in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies
