My Approach
Being a person in this world can be exciting, painful, scary, and awe-inspiring (sometimes all at once!) and I’m here to hold space for the paradoxes and messiness of life. My intention is to help you reclaim and accept the parts of yourself that you’ve learned to disown — and we all have those parts. I believe that with the right support, everyone has the ability to move toward more ease and connection.
I feel strongly that boxes and assumptions have no place in the therapy room. I’m dedicated to creating a space where all aspects of your identity will be recognized and can be safely explored.

What To Expect
My approach is psychodynamic and integrates mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic practices, and trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits all, and our work together will be shaped by our unique chemistry and what you bring to the table.
Though therapy can be challenging, it can also be creative, warm, and full of humor. I’m direct and active in the therapy space and I’ll invite you to give me feedback as we deepen our work together.
More About Me
I have experience supporting people with depression, anxiety, career changes, relationship challenges, non-monogamy, grief, gender and sexuality exploration, chronic illness, religious trauma and neurodivergence. I especially enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, of which I’m a proud member.
I worked in journalism for over a decade and wrote the L.A. Times mental health column “Group Therapy.” When I’m not working you can find me in the garden, at the pottery studio, on a hiking trail or curled up with a book.
